December 3rd

I've just got back from having an amazing time in Oxford visiting Kate and seeing Gerry. I learnt some valuable life lessons such as:

1. I don't like port
2. Port gives me a bad hangover
3. Pizza bagel is not good on a hangover tummy
4. Guinea Fowl is chickeny
5. I love Oxford

Last night was Kate's college's Christmas dinner which was great fun and delicious, four courses and coffee AND free wine/port/prosecco which I took full advantage of. I had the best time I've had in a long time and everyone was so nice and welcoming, I was a little bit nervous about meeting new people but I felt right at home! I got a decent amount of sleep and mixed things up by alternating where I slept, sometime on the floor and sometimes in Kate's bed, I'm not sure why I moved around so much but I was making the most of it!

Today I was a victim of an all day hangover, the type that starts with the headache and as the day went I on I got more and more sick, until about 4 o'clock where I got a lot worse and then a lot better. We met Gerry and Kate gave us a tour of the colleges and the hot spots of Oxford which was laaavely. We got food and Kate left to do work meaning Gerry had to put up with me slowly dying and insisting we sat down every 5 minutes but despite my tummy and head I had the time of my life. I'm such a tourist.

Have you ever been to Oxford?
Where is your favourite place to do Christmas shopping?

  1. I've been to Oxford a couple of times, lovely place! Oh dear, port is bad. I've had it a few times and it induces horrific hangovers you poor thing!! :p xxx

  2. I went to Oxford earlier in the year and I wasn't that impressed but thats probably because it rained all day. It look much better in your sunny photos! xx

I love hearing from you, try and make me laugh. I dare you.
