I had egg and hot cross buns for lunch

IT'S TRUE. I did. It was delicious, I don't know why egg goes with hot cross bun but I strongly  encourage you to try it. I am now watching the news, being unemployed I have plenty of time to keep up to date with current affairs. I thought I would just put some recent photos up, they're not from my camera but from my blackberry and it's terrible, terrible camera. I'm really hating on my BB at the moment, the internet is so slow, my camera is terrible and my battery is always dead. It isn't helped by Lee having a shiny new iPhone 4, I'm beyond jealous.

Thank you for all your kind words on my last post! I honestly wasn't expecting them and they brought a cheeky grin to my face. My interview went well, hoorah! He said he liked me, asked me questions for over an hour (very thorough) and I asked him some (top interview tip from Pops: prepare questions to ask, even if you end up saying 'well you've answered most of my questions, thank you.'). I am quite a talker, but apparently my ramblings showed I was 'reflective' and 'methodological' so I'm not complaining. My only panic is that he asked me my 'expected salary' and I answered lower than it was advertised. This was post interview but I'm still freaking out. I did however read in Company mag that women don't negotiate their salaries as much as men, maybe I will have to buck that trend! I worked rather hard for this interview, I read the whole section in Job Hunting for Dummies on interviews and it stood me in good stead. I cannot emphasise how important it is to do your research, and speak your answers out loud. This can be in front of your mirror, at your desk or get someone to mock interview you. My dad interviewed me (he did a course in recruitment) and it really helped, he scrutinised my answers, help me find examples and prepared me for the atmosphere of the real deal. I'm probably going to stop talking about it now. I've got a day in a branch next Friday so I need to work as hard as possible to be polite and generally great...

I actually didn't mean for this to turn into a lecture. Sorry! Here are some photos to ease your pain:

1. I made Lee a Raphael from TMNT. HE IS SO CUTE
2. We went on a day trip to Chichester, best Jack Wills I have ever seen!

Oh god I used to love TMNT when I was little! ooh sounds like the interview went well then :) I agree with all your points, preparing is definitely key, I used to talk to myself to prepare answers as well. Confidence is obviously also important and probably the thing I struggled with most, i.e. just never thinking I'd be good enough.. but good luck for the day in branch :D xxx
