My New Year

Hello my chickens!

I'm back home now and have had a crazy day. Well not really crazy but I did visit the job centre again, it is fast becoming my favourite haunt. I had to see my lady about potential jobs, but even she admitted there are none out there (especially where I live) which is never a good sign. I also had to demand (read: ask politely) where the devil my dole money was, I'm owed over a months worth now. Luckily it all got sorted today and I will be getting a tidy sum coming my way which is good news for all you because it means I can finally do a cheeky small giveaway to say thank you for putting up with me for so long! It also means I can pay back Lee for New Years, talking of New Years I have to admit (despite my moan in the last post) that I had a great time! Both Rob and Paul live just outside central London so Lee and I spent the day shopping and in Westfields then we rocked up and brought the party. Loads of my friends from uni went and it was so nice to see everyone and have a big catch up. What I liked about it was that there was no pressure, we met up at our old uni but I felt there was too much pressure to recreate the magic we had when living together. This time none of it felt that way. At midnight we went over to Rob's and up to his roof terrace (oooooh fancy) and we had a great view of the fireworks, one of his friends also played bagpipes so it was very atmospheric and generally awesome. I loved it. After about 1 I crashed out and couldn't be dealing with it any more, and that was that.

Other than that I've not done too much. I went back to Lee's after NY and we watched lots of TV, ate junk food and just enjoyed each others company. We watched a whole series of An Idiot Abroad and 24 episodes of Modern Family, which is my new favourite program, thank goodness for skyplayer, I highly recommend it.

I've not made any New Years resolutions I'm afraid, although I have had great fun reading all yours! My only one is to be the best girlfriend ever, something I share with Gia. I've written it in my filofax and everything with due date 1st January 2013... I might write a blog about it, I will see how I feel because I am no where near being the best girlfriend but mainly due to my horrible horrible habit of over thinking!

Anyway I must go because me and my sister are going to have a girly night with cleansing, facemasks, cakes, nail art and 13 Going On 30 (best film ever?!)

How did you spend your New Years?
What are your resolutions?
