Big news and big quotes

So, I've finally got some big news for you all, and I know you can't wait. I've not really been sharing via the internet because sometimes I find sharing information about shaving my legs far easier than sharing actual big news. So here it is:

I only went and got myself a job in central London

Even writing it seems surreal and gives me a bad case of the nerves. I start in mid April and I'm going to live at Lee's for a while until we can save up and move out and closer to London (the commute is going to be 50mins, excluding the underground). To say that I am bad at dealing with change is an understatement, I'm actively scared by it. I have spent the last week thinking 'oh I will really miss this shower' or 'oh I'm going to miss my bookcase so much.' I'm writing this blog post as hopefully it will get it out of my system and I will stop being such a wet blanket. After graduating and moving back home last summer I've settled in a little bit too well here and I need to get back in the swing of life, there is nothing careers wise for me here and being at the job centre every two weeks certainly wasn't in my plans...

On the other hand, I am beyond excited. I love London, I love the hustle and bustle, the buildings, the red buses and the shops. I can't wait to have a grown up job in a career I'm genuinely interested in and I am so pumped for cocktails. Most of my friends from university have moved/are moving to London in the near future and it will be so good to see them again. I also like cocktails and I'm assuming cocktails are readily available in the capital. This dream stems from the fact I've watched a lot of Sex and the City in order to prepare myself for living in a city (yes, I know I won't be living in the city, and nor is London like NY...).

I've been spending a heck of a lot of time on pinterest recently, so naturally I have turned to it for help. I've found a few good sayings which I believe will really help me get my head around the next big step in my life ONLY BLOODY LONDON. I am excited, I really am. Excited with an edge of inevitable nerves. Lee has told me he is already mentally prepared for the week of crying/moping/teddy hugging (yes I have a teddy) that is going to come attached to my first week at his. He gets me and it makes me happy. What also makes me happy are these images, all sourced from pinterest:

I'd also like to thank all those lovely ladies who have commented on my posts when I've been feeling down about unemployment, who have bought a smile to my face when I've bitched and moaned tirelessly, and who deserve a medal for just putting up with me.

Becca x
