Poem - Euro 2012

Oh football how you make me scream

I don't even support my national team

Every match I watch is the same

So much bullshit about 'the beautiful game'

My boyfriend watches it avidly

It's a waste of time - why can't he see?

It's not just the 90 minutes of the game

It's the post match commentary that's a pain

There is only so much I can hear about Rooney

Before I start going really loony

Now we've got past the group stages

I'm going to have to put up with this for ages

I can't wait for the beginning of July

So I can wave the Euros bye bye
