Thursday, always a bit of a non-day, I'm looking forward to the weekend and trying to do all the little jobs I had put off until the end of the week... I had a fair old amount on my to-do list and a fair old amount didn't get done, there always seems to be something more important passed my way and everything gets demoted. I did well on the healthy eating though, had my pasta salad and 3 pieces of fruit. For dinner I had sausages and mash with peas and gravy but mash and peas is definitely 2 of my 5 a day right? I also had a large gin and tonic, because some days you just need one. Lee bought Crazy, Stupid, Love and surprised me with it - I have been raving about it for ages, mainly due to the excellent cast- Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell- and the great mix of humour with a fairly believable plot line, as Lee and I concluded, it just plods along nicely.
Best moment of the film?
On Friday I was feeling super chirpy, I decided to grab a tea with Work Experience and have a little chat to her about how she was getting on, and just generally get to know her better. We have to email all the time and she only sits one workstation over from me so it seemed silly not to. I don't think there are many better feelings than making friends with someone. It was also pay day so I treated myself to a salad from M&S and a juice - I know, wild. I need to seriously not spend in July, it will be hard but I just need to make some kind of dent in my huge overdraft which has haunted me since university.
I also went out after work with a couple of people and it was super nice, we went to a bar not far from work Called Madison and it was mind blowingly expensive, a bottle of wine was £33, thank goodness we split it. I also had a cheeky beer and then left. I still can't quite believe that this is my life, I feel like someone one day is going to turn to me and say "Bec, what are you still doing here?" I missed my train which was depressing, but I did read a good amount of my free kindle book which is actually not too bad, sometimes you get a really shit one, but then ones like this surprise you. My Female Eunuch cane today and I'm really pumped to read that, I've also ordered The Feminine Mystique as I learnt about them and their messages/impact at university but never read them.
Here's a video of the bar I went to. With my rucksack on and £8 in my purse...
How were your Thursdays and Fridays?
