It's time for Easy A...

... which can only mean one thing:

I had a shit day.

Luckily I can post a blog at the same time as I've seen this film a ridiculous amount of times. There is just something about it which makes it my favourite film of all time. I've been holding out on that title for a long time, feeling like it should go to a classic Citizen Kane (which I didn't really like) or The Godfather (which I haven't seen) but now I know, Easy A is my all time favourite and it will take a lot to knock it down.

ANYWAY. Back to my life, which sadly isn't that of Emma Stone's. I've had a pretty rubbish day which ended with me receiving a shirty email at 5.15 which really put a downer on my day but I managed to get some sympathy and left without replying in the hope my boss will have something to say, hopefully "you really don't need to email back, this email chain of 26 messages has gone on too long, it's not even your job." FINGERS CROSSED.

In good news I have continued my friendship with Work Experience, today we took lunch together, even going to Boots and swapping stories about Garfield who once again told me to not talk to strangers and asked me if I owned a "magic card" which I could swipe over the top of the machine. When I answered no he told me that one day it might happen for me. He really is a treasure. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that in a week or so Work Experience won't be here, but sunning herself on holiday. Jealous.

My detox is going well, I did buy a multipack of mars bar ice creams but they're smaller than normal size and I shared them with Lee. I've had 5 of my 5 a day today, and no chocolate except a hot chocolate which doesn't count.

I'm also reading The Female Eunuch, I've really stepped up my game in the feminist reading stakes. I had a lovely discussion with Lee about what feminism means to me, and his feelings about it which was great, it is a part of who I am and something I'm genuinely interested in studying and spreading. So far my favourite section was where she states that until a woman's body is appreciated for it's wonderful functionality and not it's relation to the feminine ideal. However I do have to take her with a bit of a critical eye as I'm no where near as radical as ol' Germaine.

Anyway day over. I'm going back to watching Easy A, it's about to get to the bit where she says 'beat it ese'.

  4. I'm all for women being treated equally but once feminists start going on about how they don't need men such as "I can open my own doors, I don't need a man to do it for me" I'm like, I know, it's just a fucking gesture/good manners!

Sorry, extreme feminists annoy me lol!

I'm glad you have a go to film though!

    1. Haha well I'm not that extreme, I don't think I ever will be, that kind of feminism isn't much use in this day and age in my opinion xxx
