Hi

I went home last weekend, took Monday and Tuesday off work and had an amazing time. It is such a contrast from London and felt like a break without having to fork out a fortune for a holiday. We had family friends down as well, which meant there was a lot to do and managed to cram a huge amounts in - I went to see Steps, went on a family walk (see photo), played guitar hero, went shopping, saw all my friends and had a haircut. All in all a lovely time.

I wanted a little break as I've not had time off (apart from bank holidays) since I started in April. I don't think I will ever be able to afford a real life holiday! Staycations all the way.

Saturday I spent entertaining myself with baking and watching the Olympics - I couldn't stop welling up at all the golds, especially Mo Farah, what a hero. The Olympics have been far more successful and enjoyable than I ever imagined, I propose a toast to all those involved, the BBC and the great British public, jolly good show!

I'm now off to watch Batman, I have a bit of a fear of the cinema and watching dark intense films - Black Swan put me off for life, it feels like I can never escape. Wish me luck!

  7. beautiful pictures! yeah i am totally the same with dark movies! I literally watch the whole thing with my fingers over my eyes and am crouched in a ball because it's too much for me to take in, haha! but usually they're really good and it's worth it!
