Weekend Scrapbook

Living and working in London means it is hard for me to bring out my inner countryside-loving-welly-wearing-walking-enthusiastic self. However, this weekend Lee and I ventured to Greenwich and a stroll around the park. It was really lovely, the views across London were stunning (despite the grey skies and cold temperatures), we saw The Cutty Sark, the Observatory and the Royal Naval College. One of the unexpected highlights was the walk under The Thames through the foot tunnel, it freaks me out to think we were surrounded by water. We then took the DLR back to The City and got a Costa and Greggs (classy). If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (I'm beccaallen90 on both) you would have known exactly what I was doing as I clogged up your newsfeeds with pictures of our day.

We also walked through the market which was really nice, it had a great variety of stalls and if I wasn't so scared of being allergic to nuts I would have tucked in to the food. It was only until we were out I realised I had cash on me and I should have bought some postcard art, always the way! I fell totally in love with the small part of Greenwich I saw, and I've now made it a life goal to live there when I can afford it. It got to the point that Lee was getting pissed off with me telling him to stop spending money as we need all we can save for our flat in Greenwich...

On Sunday we bought cleaning products and a clothes horse, then we baked brownies. I say we, Lee said he'd help then as soon as I started he walked off and went to watch the football. Lad.

  1. Ah yes I know the tunnel of which you speak! It is very weird!! I liked Greenwich when I went, though I still can't imagine myself living South of the River yet... Ah typical lad. David kept sneakily putting on the football too, typical xxx
