Weekend Scrapbook

Last weekend was an especially good one.

On Friday night Lee's friends and I hit Brick Lane which would be incredible if I liked, or could eat, curry but I'm so scared of there being a rogue cashew that I don't dare. Instead I buy a bottle of wine and work my way through that, with an inevitable trip to KFC halfway through the night. I go for the chats and bants, which is testament to the people I go with.

My parents were up in London as well and took me out for lunch on Friday, followed by a day in Covent Garden on Saturday. I ate lots (at their expense OBVS) and walked around and waited while my dad took several hundred photographs. It is nice to see them up here, rather than at home, although for once I felt like the parent trying to guide them around London and not lose them. At one point I literally had to hold my mum's umbrella up so dad could find us...

On Sunday Lee and I had another day in London, we went to the Tate Modern which you can read about here and then headed on over to Notting Hill to check out the scene. I say that like we're cool enough to fit in, we definitely aren't, the only shop we went into was Tesco Express... After a walk around we decided to hit Regent's Park as it was still sunny which was nice for a walk around and a look at the lake.

I also watched the first episode of the new series of Mad Men, SO MUCH CHANGE. What the flip is with all their new facial hair and haircuts?! So sixties! I love Mad Men, I couldn't get on with it during the first series but so glad I persevered, Don Draper is one chunk of hunk.

  2. Awww dear you're missing out with the curries! But you never know where a cashew could be lurking... and yes Mad Man is amazing! I'm finding all the facial hair very interesting indeed, I barely recognised Peggy's boyfriend. xx
