Weekend Scrapbook - Bank Holiday Edition

Another bank holiday, what a treat eh? I was off my work with a cough/cold on Friday and lay in bed watching films (three Meg Ryan ones back to back - When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail - When Harry Met Sally was by far my favourite. Meg Ryan was youthful, a better actress and not stick thin). Saturday I did much the same, surrounded by cough medicine and strepsils, like some kind of cold fighting battlefield.

On Sunday Lee and I took a walk from Primrose Hill up through Hampstead to Parliament Hill. Both have stunning views and we picked a damn good day for it, I've got a bit of sunburn to prove it. My mood was further lifted by the fact we walked through some pretty wealthy areas, thus cementing my life dream to be a millionaire. If it doesn't happen for me soon I'm going to be pretty pissed.

I spent Monday drinking home made mojitos and not eating lunch. I didn't have much else to do and it was sunny - such a day with no alcohol is just not on. I baked a cake as well, but by the time it came to icing it I had drunk so much rum that I spilt cous cous on it... No one noticed though.

We also watched like 12 episodes of Arrested Development, Lee has watched them all before and has been wanting me to get into it for ages. I guess I'm now one of those annoying fans who are only on board because of the new episodes - ah well, I'm loving it. George Michael and Gob are my favourite characters, and my crush on Jason Bateman is still strong.

Hope everyone had a great one too!

  3. This post really makes me want to move to London, a lot. WHMS is one of my favourite films, the ending gets me every time. Meg Ryan was actually pretty good before she overdid the face fillers and her lips exploded or whatever. Everyone's been raving about Arrested Development, I feel like I missed the boat xx

  4. Cous cous cake sounds DELIGHTFUl. When you think about it, cous cous is just a little bit like sprinkles anyhow, so I definitely would have bit into it without thinking twice. Looks like you had a fantastic weekend despite your cold though, I'm just hoping for sunshine to enjoy post exams now! xx
