Lunchtime in The City

When working in an office it is easy to just scoff your lunch at your desk or to sit in the staff canteen, but when the weather is this nice it is a real shame not to go out in search of something a bit more exciting.

My lunch buddy Steph and I hit up Postman's Park, which Charlotte also visited on the day we did a mini-meet. I had a Boots salad and lemonade (promptly followed by a millionaire's shortbread - all about the balance guys) and we sat on the grass and talked.

When the sun is out, I genuinely love-love-love London, the people, the buildings and the sunshine combine to create an unbeatable atmosphere. There is a real sense of summer, spurred on by the tourists stopping off and looking at the memorial plaques which are set in the park, serving as a reminder of everyday bravery.

  4. This looks beautiful. I know what you mean about the lunch break thing! It's annoying where I work, cos if you want to do something worthwhile, like a walk or flop out on the grass, you need an hours lunch break and half hr of that is spent walking!!! Booo!!! xxx

  6. Nothing better than lunch outside! I'm also enjoying exploring new parks over here whilst the sun is out. This post reminds me how much I am looking forward to getting my hands on a Boots Meal Deal when I return to the UK...can't beat their chicken tripple!

  7. I was nearly going to go there on the Bank Holiday weekend, fancy that. I don't like staying inside for lunch when it's so nice either, luckily there's a trendy square near my work in Shoreditch.. (still haven't forgiven you ;_; ) xx
