Weekend Scrapbook: Mother's Day

I went home for Mother's Day to surprise my mum. She went out with her friends on the Saturday night and I snuck in after she had left and dad made me and my sister curry for dinner. I went to bed before she came back and I surprised her in the morning.

I had a fantastic weekend at home, not thinking about real life, sometimes you just need a little escape. I'm very grateful for my mum, she dispenses invaluable life advice such as 'don't buy wine if it isn't on offer, you can get a good bottle for cheap that way' and beauty advice including 'your hair is too long, it is dragging your face down.'

This weekend I'll be doing the complete opposite and will spend my time cleaning the flat. Which sounds like a small job, but I'm going for a hardcore spring clean. Wish me luck!

  6. That's a great way to surprise your mum!! I did it the other week too- I rocked up at 9:30am one Friday, instead of 5pm like I'd told her. The look on her face was great!! I also bloody love your mum's advice. She sounds like a corker.
