We've moved!

You'll probably have noticed my absence (if not, I can't blame you, I'm terrible at sticking to any kind of blogging routine), but I can now reveal all... I've moved

Yes, I put myself through that horrific process of boxing up the shit we have accumulated over the last 18 months in our old lofty flat, ready to move into a much smaller more homely place in sunny south west London. We still have our housemate with us, who will hopefully provide excellent stories for this blog.

It is taking me time to adjust, not as much time as when I first moved to London, but still a good amount of time will need to pass before I feel settled and as a result you'll probably see more of me online. We're almost all unpacked now and I'm hoping after the long weekend we'll have everything sorted. I'm currently trying to adjust my brain and reprogramme it to ignore the sound of our overhead neighbours walking around and not listen to every little sound. I need you all to come together and remind me that if I want to live in London, I'm going to have to put up with people all around me. In our old place we couldn't hear the other flats, only drunks and chavs shouting and screaming at night and frequent sirens.

I'm currently feeling very grateful for the common as short stroll away, the above flowers lining my neighbour's wall, the vast amount of bars and restaurants lining my walk home and the huge Waitrose and Sainsburys. I think this place is going to be terrible for my wallet...

Please link me to the posts your most proud of this month, I hate being out of the loop for so long.

  3. Awwwwww best of luck with your new home! I lived in South West London for 5 years (Wimbledon) and really loved it ... it's a lovely little corner of London! Lots of nice places to visit ... make sure you go to Wimbledon and Balham for a visit!

  4. holla - south west london! Glad the move went well - it is SUCH a pain in the arse but if you're nearly all unpacked then the worst is over. London is so noisy - last saturday I woke to the sound of the builders down the road talking (shouting) about football! Enjoy exploring your new neighbourhood! X

not necessarily a post I'm most proud of but it makes me happy every time I see it...

  6. Getting settled after moving is both exciting and frustrating! I've started to get the urge to be elsewhere lately, my little nomad self has been in the same place for a bit too long now.
Hopefully your new area of London suits you well :)

  8. Hope your new house is fab - I dread the thought of moving. Mostly over the past month i've been wearing my way through my shoe collection - here is the first post (of many, I should think). http://dinoprincesschar.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/irregularchoicechallenge-days-1-36.html
