The Sony World Photography Awards
The Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition is sadly over for this year, but as 'better late than never' is one of my life's mottos, I thought I'd share the photos I took from the day.
I went with a group from work, almost the same as when I visited the exhibition last year, I think Somerset House is the perfect setting for any event so I'm more than happy to go and visit. The quality of the photographs have certainly improved from 2013 and the stories of some do them do render you speechless.
We walked around the exhibition for about an hour; I'm one of those people that likes to read every piece of information, so I wasn't going anywhere fast. Afterwards we tootled over to Byron in Covent Garden and I had my all time favourite combination of burger and a mac & cheese side and talked the evening away over a glass of wine.
I'm sorry that you can't visit the exhibition any more, but it is certainly worth keeping an eye out for next year, or even on the competition; from the looks of things they had about 1000 categories!
